The famous Chinese troupe of dancers known as Shen Yun are coming to Paris, giving guests staying at the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg the chance to see them perform live. On April 12 and 13, 2013 a concert venue and convention center called the Palais des Congrès will welcome the Shen Yun troupe, which will perform three shows during their time in Paris.

This immense dance and classical music show will reveal the magic of the past 5,000 years of Chinese history. Already, the Shen Yun troupe is making its seventh world tour, as global audiences cannot get enough of this exotic trip through history and culture. In Paris, the dancers will be presenting an all-new show that was created for 2013.

With roughly 100 performers and 400 costumes, the show — entitled ‘Shen Yun 2013‘ — is sure to impress. Accompanying the performers is the only orchestra in the world to use both classic Western and classic Chinese instruments at the same time and on a permanent basis.

‘Shen Yun 2013′ draws inspiration from more than 20 dynasties and 50 ethnicities, presenting a diverse representation of China. Popular ethnic dances are combined with real history to create an experience that is both entertaining and educational.

From Mongolia to Yunnan, spectators will see the cultures of a wide range of Chinese regions. Plus, important figures from historical and contemporary China will be showcased. In this way, Yue Fei, a 12th-century military general, as well as the practitioners of Falun Gong, whose story has recently made international headlines, will both have their place in the spectacle. As a result, spectators can experience a whole different world during their spring visit to Paris.
