The show also takes on fictional stories inspired by history. As such, characters like Mulan are brought to the stage. More serious topics are also addressed, such as the persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. Based in New York, Shen Yun is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to bring the history and culture of China to the forefront is a creative and dynamic way.
