Le Bon Marché Window Display Lights Up the 7th Arrondissement

Every Christmas, both visitors and residents of Paris are enchanted by the window displays at various large department stores in the city. At the luxury department store, Le Bon Marché, the windows are lighting up with a theme of nature, and guests staying at the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg should not miss their chance to see this display close by in the 7th arrondissement.

This week marked the debut of the window display at the famous store, a display that will run January 4, 2014. This year, Le Bon Marché celebrates its 161st winter in the City of Light with a classic display of winter scenery. This establishment has always emphasized the special moments of anticipation before Christmas Day, with imagery recalling dreams and surprises. This year, a world of Swiss cuckoo clocks and miniature figures create a nostalgic and playful scene for all to enjoy.

Once visitors have taken in these wonderful window displays, they can then enjoy a bit of shopping inside of Le Bon Marché. The store has just added a new space dedicated to Christmas trees, so shoppers are guaranteed to have a little extra Christmas cheer in their shopping experiences this year. From ornaments to stringed lights to garland, visitors can  find souvenirs from Paris to take back and bring out every Christmas.

Plus, Le Bon Marché is the spot for all things luxury from designer clothing to beauty products to homeware. The ground floor of the department store is reserved for highly select luxury boutiques, with higher floors stocking more general goods. In an adjacent building is the department store’s famous food shop, La Grande Epicerie. Known for housing a huge supply of specialty foods from France and all over the world, La Grande Epicerie is a must-see for any foodie.
