An interesting festival is coming to Paris from the 2nd to the 7th of April, 2013 and guests staying at the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg have a unique opportunity to join in on the fun. The event is called the Festival Atmosphères, and it will present free films, cultural events and conferences all revolving around sustainable development.
This event will take place in La Défense — Paris’s business district — and Courbevoie — a neighboring suburb. As a result, visitors can experience Parisian neighborhoods that are not often frequented by tourists. The festival is happening during the Week of Sustainable Development, a special period recognized in France as a time to reflect on the importance and the implications of sustainability in our society. The result is an event that is entertaining and collaborative, bringing together diverse points of view and opinions.
One of the main ways in which participants can get involved with the Festival Atmosphères is by watching the various films that will be projected during the Week of Sustainability. In this way, they can understand the societal stakes and get a glimpse of the avant-garde solutions of the future. Images, meetings, debates and interactive activities will all take center stage during this interesting festival, which will allow visitors to take away important messages and lessons that they can integrate into their everyday lives.
In 2013, the Festival Atmosphères will be organizing its third edition, having already had two years of successful events in the past. In addition to the many informative and entertaining activities, there will also be a prize ceremony, several film premiers and a party to round out this grand happening.
More information about the events at the Place de la Défense can be found on the festival’s website (in French). Events are free to attend and include conferences, music, readings, films and plays.
