Every year, numerous spectators come to the Saint-Cloud suburb — very easily accessible from the center of Paris — in order to watch an impressive fireworks show. In fact, it is the biggest fireworks show in all of Europe and it is happens right near the city, not far from the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg.
This event, called the Grand Feu de Saint-Cloud (Grand Fireworks of Saint-Cloud) is taking place on Saturday, September 8, 2012 and is expected to draw tens of thousands of people. The Grand Feu de Saint-Cloud has been entertaining visitors every September for the past four years.
The pyrotechnics displayed during this show last almost two hours and are sure to please spectators of all ages. The fireworks are launched towards the bottom of the Parc de Saint-Cloud, and the audience will be seated or standing in the Domaine National area.
The show will be divided into about thirty different scenes, each presenting their own bright and glittering tableaus in the sky. Plus, the show’s explosive finale is sure to impress all guests.
Spectators can purchase either seated or standing tickets. Fewer than half the tickets sold for the show will be seated while the rest of the audience will stand. There will be refreshment and snack stands for visitors who want to enjoy some cool beverages or tasty snacks with the show.
Those who want to purchase tickets for this event must reserve online on the Grand Feu website (in French). Tickets can range from 26 euros to 78 euros, with special discounts for students and children. Visitors who happen to be in Paris this weekend should therefore not miss their chance to see the biggest display of fireworks that Europe has to offer.
