An establishment called the Bar Demory has plenty in store for the summer and visitors who happen to be in Paris during the warmer months should not miss the chance to check out the upscale pub. The Bar Demory has just opened an interior garden that provides an idyllic spot to enjoy a beer or other drink on a hot day.
The chic beer bar is located on the Rue Quincampoix, a hip neighborhood that also includes the Centre Pompidou. To go along with the new garden, the bar will also offer baskets of artisanal goodies that can be eaten there or taken to go. The baskets will be on sale starting June 2, 2014. Other snacks include a variety of delicious gourmet sausages.
However, the real stars are the beers, and the Bar Demory brews their own. Patrons can taste the Astroblonde, an authentic German-style pilsner with a fresh taste and light taste of honey. Or perhaps they prefer the complete opposite — the Nova Noire, a schwarzbier (German dark lager) with a deep malty taste and caramel-coffee aromas. Beers on top include the Atomique, a bock with a rich texture, and the Cosmoblonde, a non-clarified Kellerbier that is even milder than a pilsner.
On Fridays, the bar sometimes even has a Berlin theme complete with DJ and electronic music. As a result the Bar Demory is perfect for beer connoisseurs as well as those looking for a lively Parisian night spot.
Guests staying at the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg who wish to try craft beers in Paris should therefore look no further than the Bar Demory. Open since 2009 and offering their own craft beers since 2010, the bar is becoming a veritable institution in the 4th arrondissement.
