An Electrified Version of Peter Pan at the Théâtre de la Ville

CocoRosie is a musical group from the U.S. made up two sisters called Bianca and Sierra Casady. Their nicknames, respectively Coco and Rosie, lend this duo its unique name. Performing a combination of electronica, hip hop, blues, pop and opera, the sisters and their backup band have toured across the globe sharing their unique musical vision.

Having already performed multiple times in Paris, the sister will come back once again from December 12 until December 20, 2013. This time, they will perform at the Théâtre de la Ville, which is one of two theaters located on the Place du Châtelet. With a long history as the location of some of the biggest cultural performances in France, this theater is no doubt worth a look for anyone visiting the City of Light. As a result, guests staying at the Hôtel de la Tour Maubourg should take advantage of their proximity to the center of Paris and catch a show at the Théâtre de la Ville.

For those who want to see CocoRoise in December, they have an interesting show to look forward to. That is because the duo of sisters who have participated in a very special retelling of the story Peter Pan, complete with songs that they have created specifically for this show. The musical will be performed in English and German with subtitles in  French, making for a very international version of this classic children’s tale.

In this way, a Peter Pan who possesses the vibes of David Bowie takes the audience on an adventure punctuated by the beats of dreamy electro-influenced music. This is a performance of Peter Pan the likes of which no one has ever experience before. Tickets for the musical go on sale on November 21 and can be purchased through the Théâtre de la Ville website. The cost for tickets is 35 euros, with special lower rates for young adults and children.
